invisibility.
All that he reveals to
man is the soul
That opens up like a
treasure chest.
Out come the spirits
of his family
That now immerse his
canvas.
For they were once in
the public eye
As figures of politics
or of entertainment.
But here they rest
upon the artists canvas
As ghosts of who or
what they used to be.
For now, they are the
shadows that stand
Behind the man who has
become their voice.
