Criminal Love Story

Criminal Love Story

Once upon a time, I was a wee little lad.
I had a predisposition leaning evil and bad.
At least, that’s what I heard from my mom and dad.
And the criminal ignited from his launch pad.

I exploded in a shower and landed in a cell.
Everybody knew I was on the highway to hell.
Committing more crimes was my only intel.
So I won’t disappoint with this story I tell…

A couple of doctors pronounced me insane.
They threw me in a van, shackled in chains.
Drove me to the hospital and erased my name.
Now I’m a number for the medication game.

But I’m as sane as rain next to some of these freaks.
I’m working the staff in just a few short weeks.
Gaining their trust and accepting some tweaks.
Flirting with a nurse, now it’s my love she seeks.

Three months later and they said I was good.
Sent me back to the cell in the jail of my hood.
The doctors declare I’m aware and I understood
The nature of crime and I can do time if I should.

But what they don’t know is that nurse is now mine.
She’s sending me money and books with a hard spine.
Cutting them open, gluing them shut, full of kind.
I’m high in my cell after lights out at nine.

And like they say, all good things must soon end,
Especially when you get snitched on by a so called friend.
They busted the nurse and the DEA came in.
And I got 8 years to think about my sin.

The end.

Okay. It’s not really the ending to this inquiry.
I feel very bad for the victim that I quarried.
It was a long time ago, but I want to say I’m sorry
To the nurse who I played with my criminal love story.
