” I Wore You Like A Bruise.”
I saw you there, and I could feel you
all red, black, and blue.
Red was the pulse
black was the shadow
blue was the tone
screaming in pain and agony
cause, I was too afraid to be all alone.
Now that you’re gone
I’ve been left with the task of picking up the pieces,
pieces of brokenness
just like tight little shoes,
I wore you like a bruise.
Damn, what a fool!
