A gentle kiss upon my lips,
awakes me from peaceful slumber.
Dreams are just the imagination,
playing tricks on my heart.
Oh, how I wish his love for me,
was stronger than his denial.
Forbidden love lingers on my skin,
reminding me of what cannot be.
A tear slips down my cheek,
as I drift back to sleep.
