What am I if not a shooting star in the night?
In all of known time, I am but a minute mite.
A beam in the eye by a momentary sight.
Four lines of prose in this novel called life.
Who can I be if not a writer who writes?
If this is me then these words have to be right.
If I can’t be me then I’m writing my last rites.
Take this pen and kiss me one more goodnight.
