I’ll Always Call You Momma – Author Billy Charles Root

 I miss you momma

Though I didn’t know you very well

I know life kinda threw you and took the wind from your sail

I understand your decisions though I don’t know how they came about

I understand how you may have had such doubts

But I’ll always call you momma

I hope this brings you peace

I never will forget you

You’ll always be a part of me

I’m so thankful that the Lord convinced us

To put away our un-forgiveness

And brought about two forgiving hearts that lost interest in our differences

I wish it was sooner

For later left us so little time

And though you’re gone it’s Mother’s Day

And all I have to give you is this rhyme

But you’ll always be my momma
