About the Author
Daryl P. Hall
Daryl P Hall was born in 1963 in the historic city of Worcester, United Kingdom. He always had a love for words, especially the written word; as a youngster he devoured books. He started writing poetry and lyrics in his mid-teens, as an expression of his sensitive soul. He kept this pursuit very much to himself for many years.
Since becoming confident in his craft, Daryl has had his words used in songs, several of which have been recorded. Notably, a Christmas Carol he wrote the words for which was recorded and sung in English by the Kiev Chamber Choir. He has now expanded his repertoire to include poetry, which has become a passion; this book being the first printed volume of poetry.
Preface . . .
This volume of poetry was borne out of a desire to reach people and in some way allow my words to be “Lifelines to the Soul.” For me, to have my words available to read in print, is an amazing privilege. My wish is that this collection of poems, drawn from my extensive canon, will be delved into often and will become a great source of strength and hope to those who read them.
Sometimes it seems that the world is drowning in a morass of despair; of fear, of negativity. In these poems I have tried to shine a positive light wherever possible. This book is an attempt to encourage and empower the reader.
