Midway through the 3rd quarter I
can’t help but notice that your love
has definitely taken a severe beating.
You’ve been kicked, tripped, stepped on,
blindsided and illegally tackled out of bounds.
You started off strong, but now you seem
to have grown mentally and physically tired.
Indeed no one can ever question your dedication,
loyalty or total commitment to winning.
And though I must say that I admire your resiliency,
I believe that happiness shouldn’t be this difficult.
The truth be told, I’ve been praying all my life
for an opportunity such as this, and I think
that it’s about time that I entered the game.
Listening for my name.
