I’m Still Here ~ lyrics by Sarah Lamar King

I’m Still Here ~ lyrics

What you took from me was invisible,

But a catalyst to my broken soul,

You thought you had the upper hand

But you can’t touch me now,

I’m breathing on my own now,

I caught myself on the way down,

You invited death

But I chose to breathe again.

This secret’s no longer mine

And every day you live your life,

You left me here to die inside

But I’ve finally told the world

You’re a thief of dreams…

Making it easier to bleed than breathe,

Telling me hopeless is not for dreams,

And it seemed

The road ended with you,

But somehow I built one new,

And I’m breathing on my own now,

Caught myself on the way down,

The darkness was my way out,

You almost won, but I’m still here

  1. Your song reminds me of a game of tick tack toe. Almost winning
