The river of tears gently flow
Until the unexpected water
Gushes around the bend
Sobs escape her aching heart
The river rushing over the falls
Into the pool at the bottom
There are rocks and logs
To be navigated
Tears carve a path over, around and
Through obstacles
Rocks push the river of her heart
One direction while
Logs push another
Yet the river gets past
In spite of the storms and winds
Coming to a slow lazy pool
Refreshing her soul
Calmness reigns, a respite for the moment
Even as the reality of her mind knows
There will be more rocks and
Logs ahead to navigate
She can take this reprieve
To gear up for the fight
Along this river
Called life
