Craving – Author Damon E. Johnson

I want to love somebody

Wrap my arms around their dreams

and arouse their passions

Relate to their everyday struggles

and speak new life into their divine purpose

Find pleasure in their accomplishments

and strength in their occasional tears

Embrace their imperfections

and help cultivate their growth

Listen to their heart and challenge

their opinions when necessary

Be quick to forgive and willing to offer praise

Comfort them during the summer storms

and dance with them throughout

the many blessings of winter

Convey love, even during those times

when words seem inadequate

Give all of myself or give nothing at all

I want to really love somebody

Beginning with me
