Empty Fullness – Nolan. P. Holloway Jr.

Leaning on the Spirit wall

Passing, not passing out

No one knows my quiet hunger

To eat to I am full

So my body and mind are satisfied

Chewing on thoughts to soothe the palate

Watching others gorge themselves

Not having the look of hunger so obvious on my face

I’m fine, just taking a break

Hidden from being alone and famished

Know you are doing fine

Cabinets full and overflowing

Decisions, decisions as to what you will have

To full your desire and taste

I will have to be still until my need is met

In the solace of my starving existence
