Lover To Plaintiff – Michael Marrotti

Each redundant

argument

rivals the

volume of a

Motorhead

concert

Neighbors

enjoy popcorn

as neither party

accepts blame

From lover

to plaintiff

garments of

clothing

confirm the

separation

carried away

in black bags

over practically

nothing

It’s the same

old magazine

publishing

another issue

I cringe at

the date of

a new release

There’s still

an occasional

article that

brings me joy

But with the way

I’m feeling now

I’ll use these

pages as

toilet paper

to clean up

the mess of

a shitty dilemma

I may be forced

to diversify

as I second guess

the cancellation

of my lifetime

subscription

micheal About the Author

Michael Marrotti is an author from Pittsburgh, using words instead of violence to mitigate the suffering of life in a callous world of redundancy. His primary goal is to help other people. He considers poetry to be a form of philanthropy. When he’s not writing, he’s volunteering at the Light Of Life homeless shelter on a weekly basis. If you appreciate the man’s work, please check out his book, F.D.A. Approved Poetry, available at Amazon.
