I shatter into
A thousand pieces.
Heartbeats resonate
Through brilliant suns.
My breath becomes
Gossamer wings.
My eyes,
The moon and her shadow.
My body,
The dust of new stars.
My soul,
The scent of winter storms.
A thousand pieces,
Cast to a thousand spheres,
But never once
Have I been lost.

I was born and grew up in a small town in Oklahoma. Eventually I escaped to Kansas where I met the love of my life with whom I’ve been with for 25 years. We currently reside in Overland Park with three cats, my neglected poetic children, and this raccoon puppet. All in all, it is a good life!
