Spotlight Poet: Mary Dasnoit

She was born with the Ace’s

And she knew little of grace’s

And her heart was a shallow well

She played her cards on time

And how she played seemed to rhyme

And of her secrets, she was not willing to tell

She was very pretty

And very, very witty

And in the back room, she was willing to sell

She wiggled when she walked

And she giggled when she talked

And their time was up with a bell
