Author Nolan P. Holloway, Jr.: Intention of Remembrance

The desire to hold memories joined together creates events

that gives comfort or pain

Images that guide and navigate through life’s unknown path

If remembrance slowly fades, memories die and the fragments bring frustration

Nothing to hold on to-thoughts vanquished to forgetfulness

Existence fading to blackness as the curtain closes

Difficult to see that life’s play has come to its conclusion

Ending is vague

Sadness and tears blur the vision of a happy ending

Embracing previous acts cannot be seen because it is now hidden

Desire the person they are to stay

And continue to act in their life role

Not possible

Forever is not physical

Life goes to sleep

Farewell-I will keep the thoughts of you with me

Till I sleep…
