Muriel’s Moonlit Whispers

Awareness awoke from the sea’s solace;

Muriel’s moon energy empathized

with the subsiding tides of emotion,

emoting turmoil of a tortured soul.

So, she mustered a mix of mushroom dust,

sprinkling it over this napping knight’s nose.

She fathomed his fear within its ripples

and eased the battle bruised warrior’s anguish,

still possessed by his soul seeking struggle.

He could not wash the blood stained memories

of all those whom were killed under his sword.

After so many years of yore’s glory,

his dreams were screams of battlefield voices.

Being the best and bravest seemed senseless.

Spanning generations of noble knights,

arrogance had become body fragrance.

Ladies laid lustful Knights as Princes preyed.

Yet, the cosmic fate of our own karmic force

elicits a fair sense of recompense,

as her mind’s eye bestowed absolution,

atoning him from his visions of death.

So, into the Knight’s ear, she whispered sense:

“Live dignified and worthy of honor

and your presence will be our chosen gift.

Don’t merely exist eyeing just our earth;

live life for eternity’s remembrance.

Destiny’s intent will convey its course

illuminating on your soul’s shadow,

bringing ease without your past pride’s dis-ease.”

The arc-angel warned the worn warrior,

“Unless you learn the lessons in this life,

you will be victim to the same victims.

If you chase the desire of your ego,

you just might catch duality’s demon;

Success is when wisdom succeeds conceit.

Focus that pursues purpose on purpose

creates balance to center your insight;

Reasoning the reason of your essence

is to re-focus your own blurred image

with The One reflected upon the pond.”

While pondering his exiled existence,

Muriel planted a seed in his dreams

to undertake a dig for deeper depth

than the shallow graves he had left behind.

” ‘Till the submissive soil, beyond its leaves

surface, the graves will fill the garden’s growth.

Yet, to ascend in the garden you’ve grown,

simply be blessed by the fruits that are sown.”

the-art

Who are you? Are you a brave knight? A warrior brandishing your sword, ready for battle. Are you a dreamer? Away with the fairies, losing count of fireflies whilst searching for Neverland. A goth? Who feels right at home with the monsters hiding under the bed, who loves to dance a dervish with the devil on the stroke of midnight. Or perhaps you are a dragon-slayer? Or a soul snatcher? Basking in the heat of an eternal flame. Or maybe you’re a witch? Hiding deep in the woods, practicing dark arts beneath the light of a full moon.
