Have you ever tried to catch the breeze or hold onto love’s precious moments? You’ve probably noticed such pursuit cannot be contained but for brief moments. This poem suggests love’s moments are meant to infuse our lives with freshness not be contained in staleness: One must move forward in life to welcome love’s ever changing infusion.
Breeze, soft upon my skin
while memories cling like sacred charms
holding onto life’s wispy branch.
A timeless residue of love
quietly lodges itself amongst fragranced pollen
as my heart secretly imprints its scent
upon my willowed soul.
And the breeze bends the reed
in a field of symphony dance
that only fleeting glimpses might see.
Like a stone skipping on a river’s crystal edge
love’s moment moves
in sync with time’s fleeting breeze.
