Author Nolan P. Holloway, Jr. – Moments of Reflective Sadness

Reflections in a mirror broken

Distorted, splintered and fractured

Moments in sadness-not having clear visionary connections

Loneliness-not from the spiritual but human interaction

Flesh needed to sooth the senses

But in the rhetoric there is no satisfaction

Expectation too high for anyone to reach

So to lower them to be in agreement or continue to search

for that flesh to contemplate a similar complexion

is the only resolve for the moment

How do we find that place where we once dwelled

That allowed us to wallow in the essence of We and Us

The pieces of emotions lost cut through my soul as I bleed out

I pray for relief from the pain that is slowly engulfing me

Crushing me and leaving me empty

S-C-R-E-A-M-I-N-G   R-E-L-E-A-S-E    M-E

Some say time heals all wounds, in this time I have

Prepared a tourniquet of GOD’s word to keep my soul from oozing,

To soothe me back into His grace where I am protected

Here I will find what is needed to mend, replenish and restore what has been lost

This will allow the doors of Love to stand again on a foundation of renewed strength
