I long to be your confidant,
I yearn to be your lover.
I want to know those secrets
You won’t share with another.
I want to make you laugh,
Put a constant smile upon your face.
If you feel beyond redemption
I want to be your kiss of grace.
I long to be your fantasy,
I want to light your fire.
Oh, to be the one to kindle
Such passion and desire.
I crave to be to be your secret sin,
The one you turn to in the dark.
I want to hold the matches
That set light to your spark.
I want to be your everything,
Be the fly upon your wall.
Anything you want from me –
I want to be it all.
But of all the things I want to be,
The you I long to share.
The want I long for most of all
Is that you know I’m always there.
