Save Me a Seat

Brothers forged by the blood of Christ

Brothers on earth I thought not twice

I never took the time to tell you

I’ve been given the strength to forgive you

You took who I was and changed me

For a time I thought I’d go crazy

But I healed and grew and got over my hate for you

I wish I had taken the time

To tell you in person this rhyme

I hope a legion of angels carried you home

Where I know you’re never going to be alone

Save me a seat in heaven

Where we can talk as friends forgiven

Save me a seat next to you and him

So we can talk about grace instead of sin

Save me a seat on a bench by the sea

And let’s tell the stories of our victory

Save me a seat in the dining room

We can talk and eat without the gloom

I hope you went in peace though I never told you

I forgive you brother this is true

So save me a seat where ever you want

We can sit and talk awhile just pick the spot.
