Confused – Author A.M. Torres

Mirror on the wall

Please, tell me one thing,

Help me understand

For, I see Mom and me.

Mirror, I’m confused

Can’t tell who I see,

Depression we’ve shared

And I’ve hated me.

Mirror please look

I see Mom and me,

We have strength inside

Both Mom and me.

Mirror on the wall

I press my hands hard,

Help me understand

I thought Mom lived far.

Mirror I’m confused

You’ve witnessed my tears,

I can’t say what’s wrong

Nor what I fear.

Mirror on the wall

I know what you see,

Sadness so deep;

You see Mom and me.
