All Smiles – (Cheshire)

Hello, he said

With a toothy grin

Who are you?

And where have you been?

I looked all around

But all I could see

Were big glowing teeth

Smiling back at me

High up in the tree

He slowly appeared

From nose to tail

It was rather weird

He was striped orange

And utterly rotund

Hearing him laugh

Left me quite stunned

Then once again

He was gone in a flash

My head still confused

Away I did dash

Was that all real

Or an illusion I had

All that I know is

That cat was quite mad

Tick tock says the magic clock

In a language that’s part of the soul

Get in line for the gate

You don’t want to be late

For your trip down the rabbit hole…

Down the Rabbit Hole” is a collective work of writings from poets who like you, live their lives inundated with the challenges and demands of everyday life. They have unlocked the door to boundaries we all make for ourselves and turned those boundaries into fantastic, beautiful worlds to both help ease the boredom and perhaps spark the imagination.
