Her heart was heavy she cried so much that day
but as she was crying she noticed her tears stopped halfway
right there on her cheeks the tears stayed as a matter of fact
they high fived each other right under her nose
and said we’re not going where the others tears go
you see we’ve been watching this scenario for years
and we are tired of losing peers
all because you can’t face your fears
so today we take a stand so you can understand
losing all these tears doesn’t help the matter at hand
you keep putting salt on an open wound
and that salt turns to tears and your mind is consumed
but we’d rather stay put and lubricate
and like a sponge we’ll get soaked up every time
tears were meant to cleanse things away
each teardrop is produced at such delicate times
to watch us race down your cheek is just a waste
when it’s done all the time
instead of at an intermittent pace
we really want to lubricate the mind
and quench the thirst of your soul at the same time
those tears then marched right back up her cheeks and said
when we get inside you better close your eyes
we’ll show you what you’re supposed to do with us inside
and at that moment we’ll lubricate your mind
send the right tears to cleanse what’s left behind
so if your tears ever stop halfway
listen up their telling you there is another way.
