As Dolphins Sing – Author Glenda Higgins

The bridge to the other side

Crossing roads of tears

To you, my love

A line in the sky

Of golden light

Arching between our hearts

The bridge of friendship

Where yesterday finally

Meets tomorrow

Walking with your hand

Held tenderly in mine

While dolphins sing

In the water below

Can you hear them

With the ears of your heart?

Where lovers meet

To watch the stars

Dance on the water

Below the bridge of friendship

Under the traveling moon

Night eye watching

Our Christmas colours

On uplifted faces

As dolphins sing

About the Author

Glenda spent her early work in libraries – ten years in various positions, including cataloguing, which launched her on a favorite pastime of reading everything under the sun.

Her start as a poet surprised her. She took a poetry-writing course. Two hundred poems wrote themselves in a furious manner, in two weeks.  This led to performing poetry in cafes and on the radio and about three hundred more poems.
