Snowflakes – Author Donna J. Sanders

We are snowflakes from the clouds

with silhouettes big and small, short and tall

exclusive among the frosty banks on which we fall

Our prism shines, reflecting luminosity in twilight skies

with columns fragile, hollow; frail as thin ice

with needles meager, narrow; slender as a grain of rice

The flurries from which we dance

a softened gale, a tenacious gust

preserving this rare physique

complex are our divergent minds

souls that dream in varied hues

diversity is what makes each of us unique
