Unchained Alice ~ Author Christa Frazee

Dream dazzled

Unlocking doors

Travelling through

Labyrinthine levels of

Earth-induced euphoria

Solo, so low, slowly

Cheshire Cat grin in the

Crescent Moon again

Unchained Alice, I am.

Escaping reality is an

Artist’s very specialty

Down I fall

Fairytale wings

Bells and all

Into the whirlpool spiral

Of the Rabbit hole.

Illusions are favored

By wild-eyed thinkers

Untamed hearts must

Dance and bow to beauty

Craving expression

Yet it’s from rock bottom

That I’ll build a castle

Of Questioning

Living as my own

Laughing and crying

Mad and inquisitive

Over everything.

Tick tock says the magic clock

In a language that’s part of the soul

Get in line for the gate

You don’t want to be late

For your trip down the rabbit hole…

Down the Rabbit Hole” is a collective work of writings from poets who like you, live their lives inundated with the challenges and demands of everyday life. They have unlocked the door to boundaries we all make for ourselves and turned those boundaries into fantastic, beautiful worlds to both help ease the boredom and perhaps spark the imagination.
