Letting Go – Author Markus Fleischmann Edit

A black crow is seen flying

High above the tree line

As the dawn notched

Another day in time

A father is crying

Cause his wife is dying

Soon he’ll be left alone

Forced for the sake of his kids

To be strong and go on

A black crow is seen flying

He’s done crying

She’s done dying

Time stops

With his lonely, grieving teardrops

Falling

“Father, father it hurts so bad

Where is mom she’s not in her bed?”

Sobs and teardrops shed

“Son she’s gone home

She’s not dead; today is just

A bad dream we had.”

In still of darkened night

He lowers his head

As her black crow spirit

Flies overhead

Remembering the life they once had

“Fly safe my love,

To me, you’re not a crow

But a graceful white dove.”

Black crow seen flying above

markus About the Author

Markus Fleischmann is a free thinker and writer who lives in Texas. For me, writing down my thoughts and experiences is an outlet, a release of emotions that I feel, and experiences and emotions of others. I am an empath which grants me the gift of heightened feeling in my surroundings. As a dreamer, free thinker and a peddler of words it brings me such great joy to be able to share this gift with others.
