Minuet of the Ice Fairy – Author Ken Allan Dronsfield

Ravens sing in a shrill harmony

flying above the red fiery pyre.

Sprite-lings fly dodging snow;

seeking boughs of cedar cover.

Ice fairies waltz a loving minuet

on a clear ice crystal snowflake.

Goblins dress in Sunday attire;

soft kisses with lemonade pouts,

awaiting all those sordid desires.

Love the cherished mystical soul

whilst misty diamond stars weep.

During that icy passionate dance,

scarlet blood shall rise and steep.

Flashing tease of an ocular ellipse,

peeking full moon in pastel clouds.

Edge of a cold goblins rapaciousness

inhales of a pinkish twilight unicorn,

all enjoy the Minuet of the Ice Fairy.

the-art

Who are you? Are you a brave knight? A warrior brandishing your sword, ready for battle. Are you a dreamer? Away with the fairies, losing count of fireflies whilst searching for Neverland. A goth? Who feels right at home with the monsters hiding under the bed, who loves to dance a dervish with the devil on the stroke of midnight. Or perhaps you are a dragon-slayer? Or a soul snatcher? Basking in the heat of an eternal flame. Or maybe you’re a witch? Hiding deep in the woods, practicing dark arts beneath the light of a full moon.
