The problem was, I couldn’t stop being me.
And the me I was wasn’t conformity.
More like a thorn on the rose of society.
Or was I just brighter than the light they usually see?
They’d give me a test, I’d answer randomly.
Even though the answer I could solve easily.
I was brain busy but not how they wanted me to be.
So I became the poster child for juvenile delinquency.
They waived me into adult court when I was sixteen.
They said it was a lesson that the system had to teach me.
I went in a petty thief and came out a master of burglary.
A system that stole a whole nation, taught me perfectly.
