Forever Young ~ Author Elizabeth Diane Daniel

As a child

I had one boy doll

The rest were girls

Sometimes, I’d pretend that they were on a talk show

Fighting over his affections

Because let’s face it

My brain was always creating

But as an adult, they tell you to put childish things away

Lock up your imagination

Turn in the key

Be an adult

Pay bills and have some maturity

Grow up!

Well, in my world, I say stay young

Look at life through the eyes of your 8yr. old self

Never stop dreaming!

About the Author

From a very young age, Elizabeth knew she was meant to be a writer. Around 8 or so, she started with little poems inside birthday cards. As years went by, poetry became her safe haven in a world full of chaos and beauty. Through written words, she found her voice. A voice according to doctors, she was never supposed to have. Today at 34, she still re- reads those poems from the early days. Now housed on her bookshelf in old binders.
