A form of breaking a bond
once so deep, it hurt like a
razor causing the soul to bleed.
You extinguished the fire within
me, the zest for life now gone.
Hearts go asunder as they head
their own direction.
All remaining of our existence are
the torn up photographs lying on top
of my dresser.
I look at them with teary eyes as
my mascara runs down my face,
leaving tracks of my sorrow.
