Music – Author Tracy Seiden

Music was everywhere.

Not just from instruments, in everything. Music to her was like breathing. Notes and melodies played in the way rain fell on rooftops, the way birds chattered as they flew through trees, the way wind rustled leaves or whistled through valleys.

Music was everywhere.

She could be swept away by sounds around her, carried off on tunes of oceans rushing to shore, crickets chirping in tall grass, or flames snapping and crackling in an evening bonfire.

Music was everywhere.

But none so intoxicating, so comforting as the sound of his breath on her neck as he sighed in his sleep, or the soft whisper of rumpled sheets as he moved closer; none so sweet as the sound of her heartbeat when it spoke his name.
