Sometimes our hearts write words and messages we need to express, but yet we are reluctant to send them forth. While for many these words spring from impulse, for others these words emerge from deeper suppressed wells of emotions. This poem offers a potential reason for our subconscious orchestrated delays.

Unsent Letter

Not hollowed of gesture
is this letter unsent
for my words are sharp
and its message intent.

But you
the recipient of this letter
not ready to receive
the blow of truth.

Not that unkindness, is meant
for time I still need
to mellow its force.

And maybe better words
I can find to flow
in tomorrow’s letter … i am meant to send.
