Hurricane – Author Susannah White

I’m coming to realize that this hurricane in my mind is something I have created inside –

and seemed to have fed over time.

These feelings I feel are so deep

that some days they seem hard to face.

I just keep moving forward – walking with grace.

For what else can you do?

Besides give it all to god to see you through.

When you start to feel the hurricane build,

make sure to surround yourself with a loving shield.

Spend the time to listen to what’s right,

don’t mask it by keeping busy day and night.

Experiencing life is fun to do, but one must find the balance and joy in experiencing their soul too.

Light and dark are a part of life,

Everyone struggles every day to balance the two,

and not live in strife.

We all hope one day it will be clear

and we won’t have to live every day in fear.

We strive to surround ourselves

in a bubble of comfort and security,

All the while we don’t realize

we slide our souls into obscurity.

I keep asking myself,

“What is my definition of FREE?”

What does “FREE” really mean?

When you remove the dogma and doctrine from everything,

One may begin to see,

They are actually living under someone else’s decree!

Justify it how you choose,

the main consequence is the knowledge

your soul stands to lose.

The goal is to have your soul set on fire.

Get in touch with yourself to see

what it is YOU truly desire.

I’m also coming to learn and accept

that our desires can change,

with every experience of love, loss or pain.

Sometimes what YOU thought you wanted

ends up to be a fallacy,

A silly game your ego plays,

For what your SOUL longs for transcends

the past the entire galaxy.
