“Maybe through the fire and pain, I can find myself again and realize that I was never unlovable.” Tamsen Grace
When a woman awakens, she is a force field.
Poet, Tamsen Grace, has penned a book of epiphanies; whereby she has broken free of all conceptual limitations, societal definitions and societal conditioning that held her prisoner to meeting the expectations of ‘they.’
There is a powerful message all women need to hear within this beautifully executed book of prose. The pieces are both eloquent, yet brutally honest; so honest that the reader may be uncomfortable when she sees herself within its pages. The notion that women have to live in the illusion of perfection, ‘Blank faced mannequins with no mouths, so they can’t speak’ (Tamsen Grace), is the myth that has kept women bound to impossible standards.
Both men and women will be struck by both the pain and the strength it took Ms. Grace to dismantle the Cinderella standard; recreating herself, finding herself and loving herself in her imperfect ~ perfection.
A very inspirational and motivational book written from a women’s poetic heart!

We all have things from our past that tie us down or prevent us from moving forward. We like the world to see the glossy version of ourselves, the one we post on social media. The beautiful, smiling, ageless, strong and successful version that we create, our own personal work of autobiographical fiction. The reality is our past, with all those skeletons rattling around in our closets is what forms us, what makes us unique.
Our struggles define us and make us who we are meant to be. This is a book about my past, my struggles, and my times of trial and triumph. I have lost love, fought through cancer and divorce and reinvented myself. I no longer care about having a glossy version of myself, I have set my skeletons free. I have learned to love myself, scars and all.
