Delicacy by Donna J. Sanders

Her bones

craved nourishment

and so she swallowed words

like vitamins

She let them simmer

low and slow

long enough to seep

into marrow

a Pot-au-Feu

C’est magnifique!

It would bring her joy

to see her delicacy

sipped like a fine wine

  1. Wow! I love your poem! It just rings so true, and feels so right! I don’t know if that even makes sense, but really, WOW!
