Promises by Dah

Summer’s ripe berries

slow shadows of bubbles

sun’s blistering tones

For a second I believe life

has meaning

Commotion, tides of people

pushing toward impermanence

and I see we owe nothing

to one another

When we dream

we should dream in promises

those foundations for hope

only, we have lost the underpinnings

Some voices are unvoiced

others broadcasting life

is without meaning

The Highest Realm, a dull halo.

THE TREE, toppling.

EDEN, closing her gates.
