I Gave by Leon Pryce

I gave away my food

To feed the poor

I gave up my home

To shelter the homeless

I gave up my job

For the unemployed

I gave my money to the poor

But after all I gave

My giving was not enough

Because you have not

Been satisfied

I gave up my life, so you may live

I gave my eyes, so you may see

I gave my heart

Full of love and compassion

But after all I gave

My giving was not enough

Because you have not

Been satisfied

I gave you Christ

And you crucified him

I gave you the devil

And you worshipped him

I gave you paradise

But it wasn`t perfect enough

You wanted the world

And I gave you the universe

But after all I have given

You could not be satisfied

So I will give no more

And leave you to be filled

By your own self, shame

Greed and pride

Leon Pryce self-published his first poetry book titled Broken Wings as an experiment which turned out to be an astonishing success for a first timer because it out-sold his expectations. That experience has motivated him to wholeheartedly dedicate himself to another book project; a collection which will formally introduce him to the world as a poet with potential and power. Immortalized Through Poetry encapsulates the personality of Leon Pryce and will give you the keys to unlocking this eccentric soul.
