Troubled by Jeff Oliver

I was plagued

I was puzzled

I was pained

And unsettled

I was confused

My heart was harrowed

Apprehensive

And afraid

I was troubled

Through all the pain

To disconnect

From a troubled past

It takes the patience

To stay content

Possibilities of the present moment

The sound of the heart

Can overcome it

Don’t stay troubled

Be unconcerned

Become calm

Become certain

Be unconcerned

Place your heart in motion

Be sure

Become collected

To become untroubled

You must stay balanced

So, if you’re feeling anguished

Quiet the sound

If you’re feeling frightened

Calm yourself down

I am not troubled, I’m unconcerned
