  1. Full Moon Over A Mountain Lake

    the full moon shines on
reflected in a lonely mountain lake
    after the fall of humanity

    no one left to admire
    the full moon
    if no one is there
    to see the full moon

    does the full moon
    cease to exist

    no one knows
    the answer
    the goddess in the moon
    sadly smiles

as she goes about her duty
    circling the now dead planet
    the ghosts of the dead
    howling at the moon

  2. Spiritual enlightenment is a path many find their life’s journey reflecting. There are many roads that lead us to our perceived Nirvana, and goodness knows, it is a road with many diversions. This poem suggests any spiritual journey begins with the desire to achieve harmony with our environment … and from there, perhaps; a greater stillness of spirit and understanding can emerge.

    Title: Nature So True

    Placid pond of paradise
raw nature in an epic slice
    emerald green and sapphire blue
    in serene surroundings
    we paddle our canoe.

    Our destination is unknown
for our future awaits from seeds we’ve sown
    whose course is without correction?
    when our humble pursuit
    is simple perfection?
