I’m a Thorn in the Side of Love by Mark Andrew Heathcote

O, I’ll write a hundred gazelles?

Each a flowers unopened bud

Will unlock those passions intense

That desire busting, hereof-

And yes, I will draw your blood

Them few last pulsating drops of love.

I’m a thorn in the side of love

Press me deep and I will delve

Into the fires that bleed blood

Press deeper, loves unawares.

And yes, I will draw your blood

Them few last pulsating drops of love.

In Perpetuity by Mark Andrew Heathcote

These poems are a snapshot of twenty-five years of poetry in the making. My words have given form to a living, breathing diary of one man’s life. Come take my hand and travel with me through moments of disparity, passion, and joy in my first collection of poetry titled In Perpetuity. Like a beautiful painting left behind in a museum; I give you my words. Forever leaving you, a piece of me.
